What is Digital Marketing?

Digital Marketing is not the same as Print Marketing or TV. It is about getting your customer to convert and drive targeted traffic to your website. One of the largest challenges for most Internet Marketers is in figuring out how to get people to convert their leads into customers.

Many companies use a combination of pay per click, PPC and affiliate program. The question you may ask is “What is the difference between these programs?” What is the difference between these programs?

When you market using pay per click you are simply pushing an advertisement to the top of search engines while driving people to your site. You pay a company or affiliate based on how many clicks the ad gets. When you do this the amount of money you make will depend on the quality of traffic your ads get. That means if your Adwords campaign is ineffective then you will not make any money.

Affiliate marketing means you have a network of companies and affiliates that you work with and help you market their products. For example, you run a physical store and want to get your own website up and running. All of a sudden you hear about a website that sells fish and chips that are in India. They are selling for a much lower price than your competitors and you decide to try and do some business with them.

One of the benefits is you can test the product before you commit to buy it. By buying the product at a discounted price you can then try it for a week or two before you decide to buy it. So how do you create the right platform? I am going to share with you some of the top strategies I use.

First off, your sales page is absolutely critical to your success. You have to make sure you take your time writing your sales page. You need to be able to talk about your business. You also need to be able to explain your products in detail so you do not lose your customer.

Make sure the reader feels like they are getting value from your sales page. They need to feel like you have done your homework on them and can give them enough information that they can get exactly what they are looking for. This is one of the keys to digital marketing. You must sell them.

Another common complaint is that they had no idea what you were talking about. That is where your lead capture page comes in. The lead capture page should be made up of bullet points explaining what your products do and why they are valuable.

The last thing you want to do is get your customer to convert from leads to customers. The key to doing this is getting your visitor to fill out your survey form. Once you have completed your survey and it has been sent to your opt-in box, the system will automatically send your lead directly to your customer database.

This conversion rate is vital to making your money. Your goal is to get a certain percentage of the leads converted into customers. This percentage depends on how many opt-ins you receive and how much time you spend on your sales page.

Your marketing efforts are an investment in your business. This is why you must constantly focus on improving your results.

The last key to successful marketing is follow-up with your marketing efforts. I am constantly amazed at how often I get emails from readers who tell me they just went to their site, they purchased, then didn’t get the information they were looking for. Follow-up on your leads with follow-up messages and you will soon see improvements.
